Leader Workplace Mental Health Training
Requirements
Additional Course Information
This training focuses on workplace mental health awareness and conversation for people leaders. Participants are introduced to the difference between mental health and mental illness, selfcare and professional care, how to reduce stigma and how to build resilience. After recognizing that leaders are not clinical mental health experts, they prepare to use their organization’s internal and external resources to support their workplace mental health. The focus is on making sure leaders can role model investing in their own mental health and “know their role” in supporting a direct report. Leaders learn how best to approach their team one on one and as a group. Participants complete three group activities and are engaged in conversation and welcome to ask questions.
