This foundational training session is ideal for individuals new to Microsoft Excel or those looking to refresh their basic skills. It begins with an introduction to key spreadsheet terminology and a walkthrough of the Excel interface, helping users become comfortable navigating the program. Participants will learn how to perform essential tasks such as data entry, formatting, inserting and deleting rows or columns, and using basic formulas for simple calculations. By the end of the session, learners will have a solid understanding of Excel fundamentals.

Syllabus

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify and use appropriate terminology when working with spreadsheets.
  • Enter data into cells, and perform basic tasks such as selecting cell ranges, copying and pasting data, and inserting or deleting rows and columns.
  • Recognize and describe the key components of the Excel interface.
  • Apply correct cell referencing techniques when working with data.
